This is it

Flipping round the edges
With the brink of all hedges
Emerging through the pages
With the goal of all wages

Waging with what was mighty
Falling short of what is worthy
Clinging the start my dreams
Bleak the future seems

Weariness kicks in crippling
Leaving a halt state hanging
Fortified with love all pouring
Wholeness just found reaping

Deeper unto the earth unfall
Purest of white the moon unfold
Bright the colours the vast unseen
Future the hope the sates unfold

* We are limited, not by our abilities, but by our vision *

The outcome of one of my sleepless night!
Well, it pretty much summarises the month of January' 10 for me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIONEL LEE! (20-Jan-10)
*No, we're not gays

Check SpellingWe(*9 of us) had our little celebration for him on 21 Jan and ate at NEWYORKNEWYORK! All the photos are up at Facebook and sadly I do not have the raw copies of it yet...

Its been more than a month since I last updated!

You might be wondering where am I headed?

I've got back my results! Surprisingly its a rather bizzare result slip than what I'd expected! What's strange was that the distinction allocated actually differs from which the amount of effort I put into the various individual subjects.

For starters, ask anyone in my class about my Combined Humanities. All of them would most probably say " A pass at best?". This was so as I didn't see it as a subject of importance and I'd purposefully neglected my way through. As it turned out surprisingly, it became my distinction subject. What an irony for subjects which I toiled through the wee hours for.

What I'm (really/seriously/whatever convinces you) thrilled over my O level results is actually my English! Scoring a distinction for English in my school has been like one of the most impossible task. Tell anyone in my level about distinction in English they would say "cannot be done", "impossible" or "too difficult", cause mostly we just aim to pass our school English examination, which is of higher standards. However, I'm so so so so glad I'd made it for the first time!

Anyways, I'd choosen the course of my choice at SP! Diploma in Infocomm Security Management. It had always been my dream and goal entering this particular course since back in the Sec 3 days. I've pondered for a very long time between JC and the goal of my past. Well, I still decided to cling on to my very first motivation!

Indeed, like what the directors of SP said "Get 8 points for ur L1B4 and you get to any course of your choice for sure"; I got into DISM!

Now the problem lies with my second motivation for the hardwork in O levels; the Integrated Infocomm Scholarship programme. It seemed really really impossible to get into the programme. I read up and they said that out of 147 outstanding O lvl students that signed up last year, only 20 of them got in! Do you know what this means? It means in order to get a place for the scholarship, I have to compete and somehow impress myself to the top 10%! This was why I felt that my result weren't really that great afterall and not because I'm unrealistic about it.

One of the segment of the application is writing essays!

Personal Aspirations - 200 words
Career Aspirations - 200 words
Life Aspirations - 500 words

I need a whole lot of inspiration for this manzx!

Other than this, I still need 2 referee, 2 letter of recommendation as well as my testimonial which I'm trying to get together. Wish me all the luck in this though I really doubt I would barely make it.. Well, the good news is there is a SP scholarship programme in April if I fail the IIS.

Anyhow, just to sidetrack! I'm no longer working at Work Pass Service Centre for MOM! Right now, I'm working at O'learys @ Singapore Flyer only when there is event. So its like a once or twice a week kind of job.

As such, the main focus right now will be thinking of how to impress my application through for the IDA in less than 1 month time and to prepare for some modules which will help me greatly in my poly education!

Til then , I'm Gerald and BYE!
